March Break In Bowmanville

March Break will be here before you know it. With local programs and activities that require registration filling up fast, we thought it might be helpful to share some great ideas for keeping your little ones – and yourself – busy for the week.

Local Camps

There are numerous local camp options available:

Travelling Stage March Break Camp for children ages 6-12, for example, is a weeklong dance, drama, music, visual arts, and creative writing program led by industry professionals and Travelling Stage faculty. It all leads up to a final presentation for parents on Friday, March 18. Another unique offering is Around the World with Glam, a weeklong camp for children and teen glamour girls. It includes spa services, crafts, physical activities, snack creations, and a daily glam-spiration booster session based on the theme of the day. Lastly, the nearby City Of Oshawa is helping to keep your kids happy and active this March Break with numerous options, such as Arts Camp, Lil Explorers, Hockey and Sport & Swim. There is something for everyone! For more camps taking place, visit here.

Outdoor Fun

Looking for a way to get your family active this March Break? Well, get them off the couch and onto the slopes at Brimacombe - Durham's largest ski and snowboard area. It has everything your family needs, from rentals to lessons. The ROC is another amazing locale to visit. There you'll find tubing, skiing, skating, snowboarding, tobogganing and a beautiful chalet with great food and drink.

Indoor Fun

Looking for some alternative indoor activities? Drop by Ceramics Canada for a workshop or pottery painting. You can also sign your youngsters up for the Fired Arts Program, where they will create using paint, glass, clay and more. Also, nearby Whitby Entertainment Centrum is offering March Break specials on everything from IMAX films, and family for a round of glow-in-the-dark mini putt at Putting Edge, to video games. Top your day with an excellent meal at a family-friendly local restaurant.

There is no right way to spend March Break, as long as you have fun! How are you going to spend your week? Let us know!
